Rasu fidgeted, staring eyes staring straight ahead at Hokuto. Hokuto stared back as he continued chewing his boxed pancakes. It was just a liiiittle creepy that his subordinate-slash-boyfriend was not blinking at. all. He swallowed, and licked his lips clean of jam and sugar. "Sup, Rasu-san?" he asked, motioning for him that he could sit if he wanted to. The nurse assisstant shuffled over, a little twitchy. A little more twitchy than usual? "Good mo, morning, vi-vice principal," he stuttered, sitting down in the seat beside Hokuto with a jerky movement. Hokuto's eyebrows raised a fraction. "It's not morning any more," he pointed out. Rasu nodded once, another very jerky motion. "Ri-right. tha-at's ri-right." He fumbled with his lunch box, chopsticks going flying. Hokuto stopped them just before they went over the edge of the table. "Something going on?" he asked, as he handed the chopsticks back without commenting on the little accident. Rasu's hair shook, as did his head. "N-no."
Hokuto leaned his elbow against the table surface, his cheek against the ball of his hand, eyes locked on the unsettled spirit. "That so." Rasu nodded again, that same motion. "Y-y-yes." Hokuto hummed, then turned back to his food, while Rasu opened up the lid of his own box. There was a lot of vegetables in it. Each to their own, Hokuto could never give up meat like Rasu had. "Calm at the infirmary?" he asked, and recieved another stuttered yes for an answer. Not that he wouldn't know if it wasn't. He might be lazy and all, but he kept track of what was going on in the school pretty well, no problem.
Except in his boyfriends mind, apparently.
Because when he opened his mouth to ask him another question, the skittish nurse had looked around quickly, and was leaning closer. Hokuto was surprised when he kissed him full on the lips. Hokuto blinked a few times, before he closed his eyes and let the other spirit keep kissing him. Soft and warm and a little shaky. And tongue, he noted, surprised. But it was only brief, because then Rasu pulled away from him, face almost buried in his food as he pretty much inhaled it. What was visible of his face was crimson due to the blush covering it. Not that Hokuto's face lacked color.
Hokuto brushed his cheek with a knitted sleeve, and hid his mouth, because there was an embarrassed tilt to it. "...that was a surprise." he murmured, glancing around the room. No one seemed to have noticed. Or if they did, no one commented. "What was that like?" Rasu shook his head and coughed a little. He downed half a glass of water before he managed to croak out a reply. "S-s-sweet," he mumbled. Hokuto rubbed at his cheek again. "Y-yeah, that'd be strawberries... Leftover pancakes.." God. "T-that was unusually bold of you, Rasu-san." he said. Rasu nodded, with an even more sharp, jerky movement. "W-wanted. t-to..." he explained, voice low. "Wa-as it.. bad?"
Another cheek rub. He really wished that it was possible to wipe away blushes as easy as it was to wipe bread crumbs from a table. "No, it... wasn't. It.. It was nice. I.." He took a sharp intake of breath. "I like the initiative." Perhaps not at work, in the middle of the cafeteria, but it was alright. He didn't really mind all that much. And he did like the initiative.
